Glosfume filter replaced bag filter that suffered severe corrosion problems due to operation at low temperature combined with extremely high HCI levels. Lime injection provided inadequate HCI removal and problems with CaCI 'setting' in filter house. Problem overcome by utilising Sodium Bicarbonate at high temperature
